From wood to light

Made slowly. Felt immediately.

The character of a light begins long before it is switched on. Material is selected, shaped, sanded, finished, assembled, and finally judged by the atmosphere it creates.

  1. 01
    Select the grain

Wood is chosen for tone, movement, and natural character.

  2. 02
    Shape by hand

Each profile is worked slowly so the material guides the form.

  3. 03
    Build the finish

Layered sanding and finishing reveal depth without hiding the grain.

  4. 04
    Test the glow

The completed piece is checked for the light and feeling it creates.

Materials and finishes

Choose the character of the wood.

Finish is not decoration—it changes how the object relates to every material around it.

01

Natural Oak

Light, calm, and softly grained. Best with warm whites, linen, limestone, and pale timber.

02

American Walnut

A rich brown finish with depth. Best with cream upholstery, leather, and brass.

03

Espresso

A dark architectural tone. Best with stone, charcoal, and blackened metal.
